Beauty On A Budget: Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Singles

Brilliant product Wet N Wild.

Recently, I bought the Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Singles and I have to say I am very impressed. The shadows are nicely pigmented and quality made. The texture has a satin feel and applies beautifully. I will do swatches with and without an eyeshadow base, so that if you want to intensify the color more, or prevent fall out, a base is always suggested.

The real kicker to this product is that it only cost me $1.99 each at my local drugstore.
Here's a list of the shadows I purchased below
Platinum (C302)
Stagedive (C307)
Panther (C255C)

These are perfect for beauties on a budget.

IMATS: Los Angeles 2014

Hello Beauties,
Sorry, I haven't blogged in over a week. I went to Los Angeles and it was pretty amazing. I love the people, the weather, the atmosphere, the creativity, and the diversity. I didn't really care for the food too much. Every time I turned around I saw sushi, which I love, and fast food, that was horribly disgusting, and then everything else just seem to be incredibly healthy, that I didn't care for. I explored all over LA, from Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Pasadena, Arcadia, Hollywood, ETC. It was really fun and amazing. I love LA.

Now on to the good stuff. I went to IMATS on Sunday and it was a FULL HOUSE. I literally felt like I was at a concert. However, all my favorite makeup stores and new stores that I didn't know exist were there. I bought things that I felt were really essentials to my personal kit and my client kit. I'll list a few things I got below.

Naked Cosmetics Pigments (2 Rows) 2 for $50
Graftobian Airbrush $275
Graftobian Soft Orange Concealer $8.00
Morphe Brush 10 Color Blush Palette $10
Morphe Brush 35B - 35 Color Glam Palette $15
Morphe Brush 4 Color Brow Palette $5.00
Frends Beauty - 2 Beauty Blenders w/ Solid Beauty Cleaner $25
Senna Cream to Powder Foundation Palette (Medium-Dark) $65
Ben Nye Banana Powder $12
Model In A Bottle - Setting Spray 2 for $27
Model In A Bottle - Makeup Remover (Freebie w/ Purchase)

These were the few things that I did get! Which I'm ready to test out all these products. I'll review each one, give my honest opinion, and possibly make video reviews.

If you've tried any of these products, let me know how they have worked for you! Talk to you soon.

Beauty On A Budget: Drugstore Favorites

Who doesn't like affordable makeup up? I know that I do. Don't you?

This topic can be a bit exciting, because every time I go to the drugstore, I'm literally spending half of my time staring at the makeup, buying what I can, and completely forget what I was going to get.

Recently, I dived into my client makeup kit and my personal makeup bag, beginning to realize that I have duplicate drugstore makeup products. Key word, duplicate, and I don't buy doubles of anything unless I know that the product works to its standards.

As an artist, my clients will ask me about a high-end product, then ask if they can find something similar & cheaper. So, I have to try a lot of products & learn about products, this way I can provide recommendations for anyone.

Ok, ok, ok... I know. Enough rambling right? I am going to share with you my favorite drugstore products. If you've tried them, let me know how they work for you. If you have any that I didn't list, that you think I should try.

I will list products you can find in your local drugstore, beauty store, or online.

NYX Slim Lip Pencil - True Red ($3.50)
I love this lip pencil more than I like any matte lipsticks. First off, it lasts me all day! I shade this color on my lips, and it looks like a matte red lipstick. I'll post a picture of me below, so that you can see how vibrant it is.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes (Blue Pack) ($6.39)

These are incredibly soft and removes makeup wonderfully. I don't have to worry about my mascara running all over my eyelid when I use these either. Usually, I can use just one wipe or a half of wipe.

L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($5.89)
Although L'Oreal makes great mascara, this Voluminous makes my eyelashes amazingly bold. Which is great because I don't always have to wear false eyelashes. In fact, I have 4 of these, because I hate running out of it. It's my Holy Grail.

Ben Nye Banana Powder ($10.00)

I remember people RAVED about this product when they found out Kim Kardashian was using this. However, I decided to try it myself last year... and ever since, I've used this to set my under eye concealer. It is a beautiful finish and makes the concealer look flawless.

Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer ($12.99)

I use to use this all the time, then decided to try the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer for a few months, but it wasn't giving me the results that I wanted. Now, that I have been back to the Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer, I never put it back down. This primer does minimize my pores, my fine lines, and my flaws. I love the texture, how it goes on smoothly, and it lasts me for a long time.

Maybelline Define-A-Line Eyeliner (Soft Black) ($3.59)

I'm quite obsessed with NYX Gel Eyeliner, but I have to say I love this eyeliner, because it is super black, and beautiful. I usually have to set this with black eyeshadow on my waterline, it does smudge, but when I do a bold smokey eye, this is my go to eyeliner.

NYX Eyeshadow Base (Skin Tone) ($7.00)

Now this is a product I rave about. I hear how people rave about the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer... lets just say that I bought it and it does the same exact job as the NYX Eyeshadow base, but even better, in my opinion. This intensify my eyeshadow, it is long lasting, and prevents fallout. Plus they have three different types of bases, from white, white pearl, and skin tone. You can't beat that.

Alright, so now that I've shared a few products I love. Tell me about drugstore products that you love. I'm always interested in trying something new.

How To: Reuse False Eyelashes

Yes, we all have our favorite pair of eyelashes we hate to toss out, right? Well my little secret is that I will reuse them a few times before I toss them out. Not only do you get plenty of wear out of them, but you can save money, and what better way to start the year off?

Materials Needed
1 Paper Towel
1 Cup/Bowl
Tweezers
Clean Mascara Wand
Rubbing Alcohol
Dirty False Eyelashes
Water (Optional)

Step 1
Take 1/4 cup of alcohol and pour it into your cup or bowl. (It is optional if you will like to add water with the alcohol)

Step 2
Add your false eyelashes to the bowl of alcohol. Allow them to sit for 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 3
Take one eyelash out, place onto the paper towel, use the tweezers to remove the glue, and be very gentle.

Step 4
With one finger hold the tip of the eyelash, then use the clean mascara wand and brush through the eyelash to remove the dirt and mascara.

Step 5
Let it sit to dry.

Step 6
Then repeat.

Tip: Depending on how well the eyelashes are upkept, you can get 3 to 5 (possibly more) wears out of them by using these steps.
